Life is like a puzzle that gives us pieces out of order and that little by little we put them in order, between successes and failures, until we form a beautiful figure: The mark that each one leaves.
The experiences we live, successes and failures, environments and friendships, etc, are all pieces that fit together, no piece is left over, everything adds up and allows us to generate better bonds that make us broaden our lives in the long run, take advantage of an opportunity that life gives us. It can present, help us make a decision, which leads us to impact one person or many, in a small environment or a larger one.
Sometimes, we don’t understand where a certain piece should go and we have to learn to process it and have it available when we need it, to later understand certain topics or to face a greater challenge.
In the puzzle of life we have no idea how many pieces we will get, or what it will look like. It never ends as long as we are alive.
Our personal experiences and interactions with others are pieces, they are lessons that make us learn, everything adds up, and takes us to a stage where we have not been before. “I didn’t know before, now I know.”
There are 4 elements in the learning process in this puzzle of life:
Motivation: It is very difficult for someone to learn something new if they don’t have the desire to learn, if they’re not motivated, if they aren’t curious about knowing about something new. The first thing good teachers do is create fertile soil, they help the people they are helping to learn to be motivated to want to learn, they are inspired and motivated to do so.
Surprise: Something surprises us because it doesn’t match with the models of the world we have, with what we expected, with our filters. It gives us another perspective or information that we didn’t have. Starting an inner “wow” encourages us to experience new things, what we didn’t know until now.
Error: When we do something and it doesn’t go the way we expected it to go. There is something that we now know didn’t work and that leads us to try again and even in a different way to obtain different results.
Dedication: There are not too many shortcuts to learning, it will depend on perseverance, the time dedicated to attempts, the hours of flight, until achieving the habit, skill or incorporation of new ideas or beliefs that will solve the puzzle of life.
